Time Marches On

Hello. Howdy. Bonjour. What’s up?

It’s been exactly 1303 days since I’ve written anything here, and the reason for that is…well, there are so many. But in the end it doesn’t really matter. I’ve started and stopped more times than I can count, yet can’t ever manage to just write some shit and publish it. I get into my own head thinking “People don’t even read blogs anymore” or “Who cares about my musings around why Beyonce does NOT deserve a Queen title” (seriously, she sucks). It’s not like I have nothing to say…based on the number of fake arguments I win in the shower, I could have written an entire book in the last year. Or, if you looked at the number of notes in my phone with blog post ideas it could fill another year’s worth of content. I drive around and think of something to say, so I’ll voice text it into my phone because #safety. Later, deciphering what I actually meant is impossible, so I’ll just delete it and move on. I have notebooks and sticky notes and cocktail napkins with scribblings of stories I want to tell, venting I want to do, advice I want to give my teenagers.

So, today I will start again.
